Mr. Ajeet Kumar Verma is serving as a Senior Research Fellow in the Dept of CSE, Indian Institute of Technology, Jammu. Before joining IIT Jammu, he was a Senior Research Fellow in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology, Goa, India, in association with the Department of Science and Technology (DST) and Institutc National de Recherche en Informatique et en Automatique (Inria), France.  

In his research career of almost five years, he has been an Investigator of several engineering undergraduate projects in Deep Learning and Image Processing. Currently, He is a Ph.D. Scholar at IIT Jammu and his research interests include but are not limited to Deep Learning, Image Quality Assessment, and Time Series Forecasting. 

He has published about 8 research articles in reputed journals and conferences. Recently he and his team secured rank in the top 5, in the DroneVsBird identification Challenge, jointly organized at the IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech and Signal Processing (ICASSP), June 4th, Rhodes Island, Greece.
